  1. Personal Information You Provide

    • Account & Purchase Details: When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, billing/shipping address, payment information (card details, PayPal info, etc.), email address, and phone number.
    • Design & Project Details: When you use our design tool or start a custom project, we collect the information you enter — your name and email, and (depending on your project) your phone number, the dimensions and layout of your drawers, notes about what you'd like to store, and any photos you upload of your drawers or space. We use this to design and build your order.
    • Marketing Preferences: When you sign up for our email list or SMS notifications, we collect your email address, phone number, and marketing preferences. For SMS marketing, we only send messages to those who have explicitly opted in by texting a keyword to our number, checking an opt-in box, or providing verbal consent.
    • Communications: If you email, message, or text us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
    • Feedback & Reviews: If you submit product reviews or feedback, we may store that information to help improve our products and services.

  2. Information Automatically Collected

    • Log Data: Like most websites, our Site automatically collects certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs.

We configure these recordings to mask sensitive fields such as password and payment inputs. PostHog processes this information on servers in the European Union.
    • SMS Engagement Data: When you receive SMS messages from us, we may collect information about message delivery, whether you clicked on links, and your responses to our messages.

  3. Information from Third Parties

    • Shopify Platform: Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides us with information about Site visits, purchases, and referral sources.
    • Klaviyo: We use Klaviyo for email marketing. Klaviyo helps us manage your preferences and track engagement with our emails.
    • Advertising & Analytics Providers: We work with advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta and Google) to understand how people find and use our Site and to measure and improve our marketing.

    • Process and ship your orders, verify payment details, and keep you updated on delivery status.
    • Design and build your custom project, and respond to customer service requests, questions, or concerns.

  2. To Improve & Personalize

    • Analyze usage patterns (including the analytics and session activity described above) to enhance the Site's functionality, product offerings, and user experience.
    • Offer personalized product recommendations and promotional content.

  3. Marketing & Advertising

    • Email Marketing: With your consent (where applicable), we may send you newsletters, special offers, or promotions via email. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link or contacting us.
    • SMS Marketing: If you opt in to receive text messages, we may send you promotional offers, order updates, and other marketing communications via SMS. Message frequency varies but typically ranges from 1-5 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by texting STOP to any of our messages.     • Online Advertising: We use advertising tools to measure how well our ads perform and to show you relevant ads on platforms like Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To do this, we share certain limited identifiers with those platforms (see Section 4). You can opt out — see "Your Privacy Choices."

    • Detect and protect against potential fraud, unauthorized transactions, or other illegal activities (for example, we use Google reCAPTCHA to help block spam and abuse on our forms).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in the following situations:

  1. Service Providers We share information with trusted companies that help us run the Site, build your project, and fulfill your orders. These include:

    • Hosting & infrastructure: Shopify (online store and checkout), Vercel (hosting for our design portal, including secure storage of files and photos you upload), and Neon (our database provider).
    • Payment processors (to process transactions).
    • Shipping & fulfillment: USPS, UPS, DHL, and ShipStation.
    • Email: Klaviyo (marketing email) and Resend (order and account email).
    • Analytics & error monitoring: PostHog (analytics and session recordings, processed in the European Union) and Sentry (error monitoring).
    • Security: Google reCAPTCHA (spam/abuse prevention).
    • Accounting: QuickBooks (order and tax records). These companies are only permitted to use your information to provide their services to us.

  2. Advertising Partners Like many online stores, we share some limited online identifiers — such as a securely hashed (scrambled) version of your email address or phone number, your IP/device information, and advertising cookie IDs — with advertising platforms like Meta. We do this so we can measure how well our ads work and show relevant ads. We do not share your phone number for those platforms to market to you on their own behalf. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat this kind of sharing for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "share," even though no money changes hands. You can opt out at any time — see "Your Privacy Choices" in Section 5.

  3. Platform Hosting Shopify hosts our online store and may process data on our behalf as described in their Privacy Policy.

  4. Legal Requirements If required by law or to respond to valid legal process (e.g., subpoenas, court orders), we may disclose your data.

  5. Business Transfers In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Your Rights & Choices

  1. Access & Correction

    • You can request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at contact@oldsaguaro.com. We'll respond within 45 days.

  2. Deletion

    • You may request that we delete your personal information. Keep in mind, certain data may be retained to fulfill legal or contractual obligations (e.g., record-keeping for tax purposes). To make a request, email contact@oldsaguaro.com.

  3. Marketing Opt-Out

    • Email: Click the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or contact us directly to stop receiving promotional emails.
    • SMS: Text STOP to any of our SMS messages to opt out of text marketing. You can also contact us at contact@oldsaguaro.com to be removed from SMS marketing.
    • Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional messages related to your orders and account.

  4. Your Privacy Choices (Cookies, Tracking & Targeted Advertising)

    • You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies. Note that disabling cookies may limit certain functionalities on our Site.
    • Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing your information for targeted advertising.

    • We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our Services, fulfill and support your orders, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
    • We generally keep analytics and advertising event data for up to 24 months.
    • For SMS marketing, we retain opt-out requests indefinitely to ensure we don't send you unwanted messages.

  2. Security Measures

    • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information. Payment card data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and handled by our payment providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Site and Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For SMS marketing, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to opt in. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to receive promotional and transactional text messages from Old Saguaro. Here are the key details:

  • Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply
  • Opt-Out: Text STOP to any message to unsubscribe
  • Help: Text HELP for customer support
  • Supported Carriers: All major US carriers are supported
  • Age Requirement: You must be 18+ or have parental consent

We will never share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. Some of our service providers — for example, our analytics provider PostHog — may process your information on servers outside the United States, including in the European Union. Wherever your data is processed, we take steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy.
